Yes, we do allow corporate leases at Fountains Matthews! Lease terms and requirements may vary depending on the company and length of stay.

Yes! Fountains Matthews may offer a variety of lease term options depending on availability and seasonality. Flexible leasing helps residents find a plan that fits their lifestyle. 

Furnished apartment homes are not currently offered at Fountains Matthews. All residences are leased unfurnished, giving residents the freedom to personalize and style their space to fit their lifestyle. For those seeking temporary or turnkey living solutions, the leasing team may be able to help explore nearby furnished or corporate housing options. 

Application approvals are typically completed within 3 to 5 business days, depending on screening results and document verification.

Apartment Features & Policies

Absolutely! We want your apartment to feel like home. Residents are welcome to decorate their apartment; however, we do ask that any modifications or decorations do not cause damage beyond normal wear and tear.  Any modifications must be returned to their original condition prior to move-out to avoid potential charges. If you have questions about a specific decorating idea, our team is always happy to help! 

Yes! We are currently offering  up to 10 weeks free base rent. Contact the leasing team for full details and lease terms. 

Each apartment home at Fountains Matthews comes equipped with a full appliance package designed for convenience and everyday living. Standard appliances include:

  • Refrigerator
  • Oven and range
  • Microwave
  • Dishwasher
  • Washer and dryer
  • Garbage disposal

Subletting is not permitted at Fountains Matthews. If your living situation changes during your lease term, please contact the leasing office to discuss available options. Our team will be happy to help guide you through the appropriate process.

Packages are delivered to a designated package room for secure and convenient resident access.

Yes, residents have access to various parking options, including garages and reserved spaces. 

Yes! Fountains Matthews offers on-site EV charging access for residents, making it more convenient to power up electric vehicles right from the community. 

Yes! Fountains Matthews offers convenient access to public transportation through the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS), making commuting around Matthews and into Charlotte more accessible for residents. 

Fountains Matthews is located within the Matthews Township school district and is served by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS), offering residents access to schools in the greater Matthews area. 

In addition to public schools, the Matthews area offers access to a variety of private schools, charter schools, preschools, and childcare options close to the community. 

Rent, Utilities & Insurance

Rent payments can be made through the online resident portal, making it easy to schedule payments, set up autopay, and manage account details anytime or via certified funds such as a cashier’s check or eMoney order.

Yes, all residents at Fountains Matthews are required to maintain renter’s insurance throughout the duration of their lease term.

Renter’s insurance helps protect your personal belongings and may provide liability coverage in the event of unforeseen incidents. Proof of coverage is required prior to move-in and throughout residency.

Utilities are not included in the base rent and will be charged separately. Residents are responsible for water/sewer, trash, and cable/internet services, which are billed through the property.

Residents are also responsible for establishing electricity service directly with Duke Energy prior to move-in.

Prior to move-in, residents will need to establish electricity service directly with Duke Energy. Our leasing team will provide any necessary account or service information to help make the setup process easy.

Yes — because emergencies don’t stick to business hours. Fountains Matthews offers 24/7 emergency maintenance support for urgent issues like plumbing leaks, HVAC outages, or other immediate concerns that need fast attention. 

Not necessarily. Residents can give the maintenance team permission to enter and complete repairs while they’re away, making it convenient to keep your schedule uninterrupted.
